Launch your game go into your Steering wheel configuration settings select handbrake then pull yours and it should say controller (B button or Axis) then save and test it out. go down to controller where it says use Override for (your game ) click the blue arrow where it says Default setting change it to (Enable Steam Input) then close the menu. In steam go to your steam games library on the games list on the left panel right click your game and select Properties. in my case i will be using Dirt 5 ( i know dirt 5 is not a Sim just using as a example). then Close the controller config screenĤ Next thing you will have to do is select the Racing game you want to use this Configuration. pull your Hand Brake then select Save at the Bottom of your Screen you can upload config if you want, it should take back out to the controller configuration screen once your device pops back up if you select the device then Preferences you can rename the Device i recommend renaming it USB Handbrake. You should be able to use any button on a controller but the B Button (Go Back Command ) worked best for me. then scroll back up to the top select the (Go Back Command) This represents the (B) on a Xbox controller. I finally got it working by using the Enable Steam Input in the game properties on steam. you will notice that the button input disappears as you go down the list that's fine your just tricking steam into thinking you are mapping a entire controller. USB Arduino Handbrake Not Working Resolved I had issues getting my Arduino handbrake to work the game sees it as an Xbox controller and, by default, binds to the scroll in navigation. go to Steam icon top left of window click on settings go down controller select General Controller Setting then a Menu Should POP UP.Ģ.Under Detected controllers you should see your device in my Case it says (Arduino Micro Device) double click on device to bring up controller layout.ģ.Steam is going to want you to map the buttons for a Entire Xbox Controller even though a hand brake only has one command so what you have to do is for all the commands Starting with Primary Action is select the command Pull your Handbrake and go through the entire list until you get to the bottom of the list. not sure if this idea was posted before so please for give me Here are the Steps.ġ.First launch steam.
